The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that attracts so many people into the National Football League

That result may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two competitors

Over in the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a bad day for the Bills?

Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs last week or something more? That's the question for the Bills to answer

The Bills had won seven in a row against Miami but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 winners in an eye-opening result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's opening first down in the third period and initial scoring in the final quarter - admittedly the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Tua Tagovailoa passed for two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two scores

Containing the NFL's top rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and slightly more than half their 161.5-yard average

Additionally there were the three critical ball losses, and the pair from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to seven points just two plays

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, balanced Bills we've witnessed this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the top of the AFC East

TreVeyon Henderson recorded the fifth quickest velocity in the NFL this season

Regarding the New England, they're one of three different eight and two squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the best?

You can pick holes in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with only five of their combined 24 wins achieved against opponents with a winning record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Broncos

The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Buffalo appears to be a declaration

Their pair of losses came in recently appointed coach Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, similar to Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to prepare was huge

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he definitely deserves point for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa but hanging in there to guide his side to victory

The defense is reliable and rookie rusher Henderson burst onto the scene on game day with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth runner to break 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the top team' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the best record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a winning team, although a significant contest against the Bills

Visiting the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and additionally the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There is a long way to go but the opportunity is available for a shock number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Both squads with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different 8-2 teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who each scored forty points to go to seven and two ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a contest

Each could easily be without a loss as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their two defeats came in overtime against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning field goal with the last kick blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they're truly two of the top teams in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
