Netflix Chooses Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and a familiar face, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.

Although this character is a major member of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a significant shift in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the narrative framework.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
