Three Shortlisted for Young Sports Star Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
